TCA PEEL

Lennox Head

A TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) peel is a medium-depth chemical peel that works by applying a carefully controlled acid solution to the skin. The solution removes damaged outer skin layers and stimulates the skin’s natural renewal process. As the treated skin sheds over several days, fresher, more evenly toned skin emerges.

Procedure Time

30 Minutes

Recommended Course

1-3 treatments every 4-6 weeks

Benefits

Removes thin lesions on the skin surface, reducing pigment and surface dryness.

Long-lasting with good sun protection and skincare

The Science

The TCA solution creates a controlled injury to the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response. This stimulates:

  • Increased skin cell turnover
  • Improved pigmentation and sun damage
  • Reduction in fine lines
  • Improved skin texture and clarity
  • Reduction in acne scarring and congestion

Your treatment also includes a follow-up LED facial 7-14 days post peel. LED therapy supports skin healing, reduces inflammation, and enhances overall recovery during the exfoliation phase.

This treatment may not be suitable for you if you:

Please inform your practitioner if you:

  • Have allergies or sensitivities
  • Are using prescription skincare
  • Have had previous adverse reactions to chemical peels
  • Have a history of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

Common Expected Side Effects

Uncommon Side Effects:

Following pre and post-care instructions significantly reduces these risks.

The skin is double cleansed with a gentle cleanser. The skin is then de-greased with an alcohol swab. TCA peel is then applied using an applicator. TCA solution is at a low pH, so it will sting a little but will not hurt. Throughout the peel application (10 to 20 mins), the patient may use a handheld fan to help reduce the sting.
